NEW SERMON SERIES:  FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

In our series on the Fruit of the Spirit, we’ll discover that the life God desires isn’t about doing more, but becoming more like Jesus. The fruit of the Spirit is the character of Christ being formed within us. As we live through the power of the Spirit, we will display Christlike character to the world. When we believe in Jesus, abide with Jesus, and become like Jesus, we bear the kind of fruit that glorifies God and blesses others. This series invites us to depend on the Holy Spirit to transform us into the image of Christ. The discussion questions for February 8 can be found HEREDiscussion questions for previous weeks can be found HERE.  The bulletin for February 8th can be found here.

CARE PACKAGES FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
AND SERVICE MEMBERS

On Sunday, February 15th, we will bless our LBC college students and service members by sending them a care package full of treats from our congregation.  Here is how you can help:

  • Homemade Treats:  Bring cookies, brownies, Rice Krispie Treats, or other goodies.   Please divide them up into 15 or more small plastic bags, and drop them off in the foyer.  We’ll put one of your bags in each box we’re sending out.

  • Candy bars, gum, and store-bought treats are also welcome.

Contact the Mercy Ministry Team (mercy@lincroftbiblechurch.org) if you would like to give them the address of someone in your family who has been part of LBC and is now serving in the military or is attending college.

After church on February 15th, we will pack the treats into boxes, include a personalized note, and then mail them to our young people.  These boxes will be such a welcome surprise to our students and will create an opportunity to share their goodies with friends and talk about church and the saving power of Christ.
