Women's MINIS-TREE
If you picture a tree, it will help you to better understand the various areas of ministry and specific opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship available to you as a woman here at LBC. The tree is a perfect illustration of the organizational plan for achieving our goals. We begin with the root system of the tree which is made up of the Pastors and Deacons. They are the authority structure and spiritual overseers of the entire tree. The trunk of the tree supports the branches and twigs. It consists of a committee of women who oversee the functioning and growth of the tree. There are four branches which represent areas of ministry. On each branch are several twigs that define specific activities which take place.| Women's MINIS-TREE Goals Goal 1: To develop areas of ministry which will enable each woman in our church to have a deeper, closer walk with Christ. (Phil. 3:20) Goal 2: To help women understand their God-given responsibilities toward their husbands and families. (Titus 2:3-5) Goal 3: To challenge women to become involved in some facet of ministry; to provide opportunities for each woman to serve; and to equip women to use their spiritual gifts effectively. (Eph. 4:12) Goal 4: To identify needs and develop plans to meet them. (Gal. 5:13b) Goal 5: To organize all the women's ministries in order to serve one another, benefit the entire church, and reach out to the world. (1 Cor. 14:40) |
| Branches and Twigs MINIS-TREE TRUNK LEADERS Gladys Clarke - Spiritual Growth, Education Barbara Emanuele - Outreach Mandy Wynkoop - Service/Share & Care EDUCATION BRANCH - The purpose of this branch is to help us increase our knowledge and better equip us to serve the Lord. TWIGS Seminars - These are planned as needed to provide inspiration and education for women in our church and community. Leadership Training - Occasional sessions encourage and train us to be better leaders. OUTREACH BRANCH - This branch provides opportunities for us to share the love of Christ through fellowship, evangelism and involvement in the lives of others. TWIGS Missions - This twig provides us with information regarding our missionaries as well as opportunities to pray for them and be involved in their lives. Special Events - Various activities are planned throughout the year. We look forward to you joining us for great fellowship, good food and special guest speakers who encourage us in various areas of Christian living. SHARE & CARE/SERVICE BRANCH - This branch provides for the needs of those who are sick or hurting and includes areas of service to the church body. TWIGS Sick and Shut In - Food is made and delivered to those who are ill. New Moms - New moms as well as moms in need of help are provided with food and assistance. Funerals - Assistance is provided in preparing and serving food following funerals. Kitchens - Two kitchens are maintained and operated. Encouragement - Greeting cards and phone calls to cheer and uplift those who may need a word of encouragement. SPIRITUAL GROWTH BRANCH - The purpose of this branch is to encourage us to grow and mature as believers in Christ. TWIGS Bible Study - A Bible Study is held every Thursday from 9:30-11:15 AM, September through May. Retreat - An annual weekend retreat is held in the Spring. With excellent speakers, great fellowship and plenty of food and fun there is opportunity for encouragement and spiritual growth. Prayer Chain - Women who wish to pray for the immediate needs of the church body call are placed on a phone or email contact list. Library - Christian reading for our members to borrow. Open Sundays after Worship service and Thursdays after Women's Bible Study when in session. * * * * * * * * * We invite you to join us in one or more of these ministries. God has given each of us special abilities and many opportunities to use them. It is our desire that each woman will discover areas of service for which God has gifted her and find her place in God's Minis-Tree at Lincroft Bible Church for His glory. "God Meant it for Good: The Life of Joseph"
Childcare is provided for children from birth to age 3. (Moms will be asked to volunteer, if needed). After meeting for coffee and conversation from 9:30-9:45 AM, a few announcements are given. Then we study together in a group setting. Just bring your Bible and a notepad.
A Preschool Class, under the direction of Ann Muller, for children 3-5 years of age while Moms attend Bible Study is available.
