Community Groups

Community Groups are transformed by the gospel to be...
                 Rooted in Christ
                      Connected in Community
                              Engaged in Mission

What are Community Groups?
CGs are groups of Christians who meet together for discipleship, care, and mission. Groups are purposefully multi-generational to display the unity of Jesus' church.

When do Groups meet?
Twice a month. Groups meet on various days. Right now, LBC has groups meeting on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays.

Where do Groups meet?
In group members' homes. Some group rotate host homes. Others stay in one home.

What does a typical Group meeting look like?
There will usually be a time to hang-out and grab some snacks. Then, there will be a discussion of a passage from the Bible for about 45 minutes. After the Bible discussion, there is prayer. Sometimes, men and women will break off into smaller groups for more focused prayer and accountability.

What about childcare?
Childcare is usually handled on a group-by-group basis. Some groups have childcare at the host home. Some groups have each family hire their own sitters. We try to be flexible with childcare options so that it can work best for all the families involved in the group.
